Republic day 2023

SMKC witnessed the celebration of the 74th Republic Day on 26th January,
2023. Students, staff, and faculty congregated in front of the building with a sense of patriotism and dedication. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. Mr. R. Aravind, a former student of our college, was the special guest for the day.

The guest members were presided to the flag hoisting ceremony by our college band team. When the national flag was raised by our special guest, the students saluted it and made a commitment to uphold its honor and integrity. The B.A Criminology students began their march past and showed their respect for the national flag after the flag was hoisted. Followed by the march past Mrs. R. Anandhy, Head of the Mathematics Department, gave a welcome speech.

Our principal, Capt.Dr.P.Arulmozhichelvan gave the presidential address and greeted everyone.Our special guest, R.Aravind, addressed the students and exhorted them to put forth their best effort and feel happy to be an Indian.We organised a cultural programme in addition to an award ceremony for the winners of many intercollegiate events.

Dr. V. Jayachitra, the head of the department of economics, then gave the Vote of thanks. The singing of the national anthem marked the conclusion of the festivity. After breakfast, the students scattered, carrying in their hearts and minds the vision of the multicoloured flag flapping in the wind. May we always remember this day as a day of honour and continue to celebrate this day forever.
