The Department of Mathematics
organized One day Seminar on the topic “A Futuristic Approach to Mathematics
and its Applications” on 23.03.2023.
Students from various department of
about 50 in number participated and benefited from this seminar. The faculty
members from other department also attended the seminar.
The meeting started with prayer at
10.30 am. Mrs. R.Anandhy, Head and Assistant Professor of Mathematics welcomed
the gathering and introduced the Resource Person Dr. Esther Felicia.
Capt.Dr.P.Arulmozhichelvan,
Principal of Sree Muthukumaraswamy college presided over the function and gave
the Presidential Address.
The Resource Person Dr. Esther
Felicia, Head and Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Shri Krishnaswamy
College, Chennai. She elaborately discussed about the topic “A Futuristic
Approach to Mathematics and its Applications”. She inspired the faculty members
and students to know more about Future Mathematics.
The students were highly motivated
by attending the seminar. Mathematics department conducted Mathematical
Modelling Competition and Logical Reasoning Competition on 22.02.2023 and
prizes were distributed on 23.03.2023.

of Mathematics proposed vote of thanks.
The meeting came to an end by 12 pm with National Anthem.
