REPORT ON MATHMANIA

Department
of Mathematics organised “ Mathematical Modelling” and “Aptitude test in
Logical Reasoning”. 20 students were participated in Modelling and 70 students
were participated in logical reasoning from all departments.
Students
enthusiastically participated in Logical Reasoning, M. Lokesh of II Bcom IIsec
got first place , R Muralikrishna of II Bcom IIsec got second place and A.
Keerthi I Bca got third place in Logical Reasoning.
Modelling
was included 10 Maths models both working and non- working. The models were
judged by Mrs. P.Archanadevi, Mrs.S Suganthi and Mrs. T.Merlin jeba.

R.Lokesh of II Bsc(cs) got first place , V.Sheeladevi, S.janani of II Bba II
sec got second place and A.Naveen, N.Imran
of IBsc(cs) got third place in Modelling.
Our
Principal Capt Dr. P. Arulmozhichelvan also encouraged the students with his
presence.
Heads
and Professors from other department took part and asked questions where
students got opportunity to communicate their thoughts.
The
Head of the Department Mrs. R.Anandhy, Asistant Professors Dr. K.Mythili, Mrs.
D.Saikala, Mrs. N. Kanmani and Mr. G.Arul kumar actively participated and
ensured that arrangements were taken care of.
We
got good response from the students. We made Maths more interesting and also
shown them that Maths is applicable in real life.
